Continued from: A Beginning…. (Very First Post -January 1, 2010)
Update: March 28, 2010
Wow…
I can’t believe how much I’ve learned since I began this roughly 3 months ago! I am now much more confident and understand a lot more. And you might ask yourself, what have I learned…
Well here is a list of some of the things I have learned in no specific order (which I may add to as time goes by):
-
How to set up and send out my own ad copies and broadcasts.
-
How to set up follow-up emails.
-
That there are channels on Skype where IM (Internet Marketers) gather to book swaps, share information amd learn from one another.
-
Building a relationship wit JV (Joint Venture) partners and a subscriber list are important.
-
Some marketers have a lot of integrity in their dealings…some do not.
-
There are many ways to earn an income on-line.
-
There is a LOT of time invested at ground level to grow a list, send out emails, follow-up and more!
-
We’re all human and people make mistakes.
-
It helps to be organized…a calendar is a miracle tool!
-
It’s SO cool to develop relationships with people ALL over the world.
-
I finally understand the importance of a good sales funnel.
-
Information overload is a daily thing.
-
There is a lot of GREAT information, software, resources out there one can get *free*.
-
Setting up your own pages is a HUGE learning curve if you don’t know ‘html’.
Things I’m still learning or want to learn ~ Goals in a way:
-
How to create my own squeeze pages and thank you pages
-
Ways to improve my blog site
-
How to understand and use Html
-
Use and manoeuvre through Front Page to create my web pages
-
Grow my list to 10K by end of April

Hi Von,
Awesome work your doing and great blog way to get yourself out there. Branding is very important and you’ve perfected this method, congrats on your growth online…you are truly an inspiring force to others..keep up the great work!
Thank you Shane!
That’s quite a compliment coming from you. Thanks for all your help and encouragement along the way!!!
For me success definitely includes helping others. You sure know about that!!! You’re a force to be reckoned with.
Thanks again!
Hi Yvonne,
Great to see all the things you’ve learnt over the last few months, the list of new things I learn grows everyday.
As for creating your own squeeze pages, I tend to borrow templates from MRR/PLR products, and then mould them into my own designs.
To design create a professional looking squeeze page from scratch requires knowledge of CSS as well as HTML… I just leave the template creation to the coders and graphics designers to deal with, it saves a lot of time and stress.
Take care,
Paul
Hey Paul,
Thank you for stopping by and leaving a note! You’re right, using templates is the easiest way to at first.
Blessings,
Yvonne
Yvonne, this is only the beginning. You’re setting an example of how someone with no previous experience or technical knowledge can create success in this business.
Thank you Alex….
I appreciate your kind words. I suppose I never looked at it that way. Thanks for pointing it out!
Respectfully,
Yvonne
There is so much to learn at this… The biggest challenge is to stay focused after taking the plunge. Just eat the elephant buy taking one bite at a time. Then take some action to apply what was learned. As far as integrity is concerned, here are 3 business lessons I learned from a mentor:
1) Do what you say your going to do.
2) Make it easy to do business with you.
3) Don’t be a pain in the butt.
If only everybody in business (or life) lived by these rules.
Steve,
Thank you for stopping by and sharing your words of wisdom!
With appreciation,
Yvonne
Great List. Keep writing great posts like this one and I am sure this blog will become very popular soon.
